What you receive

For children, I use Shonishin, a traditional Japanese form of paediatric acupuncture, that uses soft, non-insertive tools, instead of needles. Shonishin is based on Chinese medicine and restores balance by gently stimulating meridians and acupuncture points. It is used to treat disease in children, next to maintaining their wellness and preventing illness. Treatments stimulate the immune system which promotes healing. Treatments are tailored to the age and pathology with a strong focus to soothe the child, hence Shonishin is gentle, safe and effective for babies as well as for teenagers. Shonishin has been proven to treat effectively: - frequent colds and/or ear infections - eczema, skin issues   - allergies, asthma and sensitivities - digestive issues - bed wetting and/or nightmares - anxiety, lack of energy. If you have an additional alternative medicine package as part of your health insurance (aanvullende zorgverzekering), my in-person acupuncture treatments will be reimbursed by your health insurer. Please check with your insurance. The rates of in-person acupuncture treatments are VAT free.
